Stress is the underlying cause of most dis-ease. Although it is an inevitable response in our busy daily lives, having the awareness can be the initial approach. Massage and yoga is a perfect combination to aid the body to retain its balance, guiding the body and mind to release and relax, and providing a space to seek ways for building healthy habits. “Nothing is changed. Everything is transformed.” With patience and practice, I believe the body is a living wisdom, which has the healing ability to attune itself to its balance.

Acupressure Therapy and Yoga Therapy are effective in the relief of stress-related ailments, headaches, migraine, back pain, indigestion, sciatica, frozen shoulders, IMG_1498carpal tunnel, constipation/diahhrea, hormonal imbalance, etc. It is an ancient form of healing practice through applying controlled pressure along the energy lines (meridians) in the body. Developed in Asia over 5,000 years ago, it is in the family of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as are Tuina and Acupuncture. It applies the Chinese philosophy of the Yin and Yang, the FiveElements, and together with various forms of arm, hand and finger manipulations to assist the body to restore the mental and physical balance. The massage can be performed on a table or chair. Pressure is applied gradually and varies from gentle to deep. The intention of the massage is to relax, restore and replenish – release muscular tension, promote circulation of blood, reduce pain, and enhance the body’s life force to aid healing. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share this passion and knowledge in both individual and group class environment.
